Homesick for the streets
filthy with litter
of people, overfilled so you must
look to put your next step down;
bare feet and galabiyas pinch
you into a spot fighter
than a net full of fish,
drivers bound out
of their cars
to battle in the streets
and cause a jam as mysterious
as the buildings of the pyramids.

Should we do this poem with rhyme? Or just like phrases in column?
ReplyDeleteA poem can be ANYTHING :-)
ReplyDeleteRhyme is just for a small tiny group of poems
If you want to try rhyme- go ahead, if not do something else. Play around with English!Toss it in the air, wrap it, hide it, chop it, stretch it, ... make a poem
